CSF WESTFIELD DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS
APPLICANT INFORMATION
Our Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Westfield has been assisting students since 1962. All of the awards are both NEED, AND MERIT BASED which is why we must have to a transcript and FAFSA SAI (Student Aid Index) uploaded into the application by the deadline of March 15th. All awards will be made in May of 2026. We have reserved a program date of May 27, 2026. All applicants are notified via USPS mail if they are a recipient. Non recipients will be notified via email.

The biggest obstacle for many applicants is FAILURE to upload the current FAFSA Submission Summary. They will automatically be rejected from the applicant pool as we have no way to verify their SAI (Student Aid Index). Since all of our awards are NEED and MERIT based, students who have an EFC of $85,000 or more, do NOT meet our category for NEED at this time. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE DEADLINE OF MARCH 15, 2026. Check your email and phone messages as we may need to contact you if your application is missing any information.
There is an excellent video on our website and in the application that details HOW to complete the application. We encourage you to use that resource. Many applicants become ineligible due to their stating the goal of a graduate degree. All of our awards are only for undergraduate study. If your end goal is a PhD, write that in your goals and aspirations essay but list Bachelor's degree in the application. Should you have some unusual circumstance in your life, you can also note that in the application. All recipients MUST be residents of Westfield. They must also be planning to attend school FULL TIME.
Since MassEducate will at this time be covering costs for Massachusetts residents at in state community colleges, CSF Westfield will no longer be providing scholarships to students who will be attending Massachusetts community colleges. If you will also be applying to 4-year colleges, DO submit your application for our awards.
In the application you will provide counselor information. Your counselor will receive an email requesting that your transcript be uploaded into the application.

As you complete the application the final step is matching to our scholarships. Be sure that you have reached that end.
Check your email regularly as that is the way that we notify applicants if there are issues with their application.
OUR APPLICATION DATE OF MARCH 15TH IS FIRM. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE IN YOUR APPLICATION BY MIDNIGHT ON THAT DATE.
You may be eligible to receive 4 years of our awards as you complete your undergraduate college education! Many of our recipients do return for all 4 years. You will need to reapply each year.
