Complete and detailed directions can be found by clicking on the Student & Parents tab above and scrolling to the bottom of the page.

1.       2019 Scholarship Dates

Open February 1, 2019       Close March 15, 2019        The Student Profile can be worked at any time but applying for current year scholarships opens and closes on these dates. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted after the closing date!

2.       Our scholarships are for Westfield residents only.

3.      Scholarships are awarded only for undergraduates and may be awarded up to a maximum of four times.   On your profile where it asks for your anticipated degree you must enter Associate or Bachelor to match to our scholarships. Do not enter any higher degrees, this will make you ineligible.

4.       We DO require Financial Information from the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

a.       You must enter  the EFC (Estimated Family Contribution) from the SAR (Student Aid Report  that you receive after filling out the FAFSA) in the financial section of the profile   AND

b.      You must upload a copy of your 2019 SAR report into the additional documents section so we can verify the EFC.

You can find more information about the FAFSA at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa

Failure to upload your SAR makes you ineligible for a scholarship from our chapter.

You may receive an email from Scholarship America saying you have successfully submitted to scholarships but if you do not fulfill the CSF Westfield Dollars for Scholars requirement of uploading the SAR,  you will be  ineligible for a scholarship from CSF Westfield.

5.       Our scholarships are awarded  based on

a.       MERIT  - GPA, activities, work experience and goals essay AND

b.       NEED - determined by your EFC from the SAR (see no. 4 above). If  your EFC exceeds $65,000 you do not meet the needs requirement set by our chapter and therefore  will  ineligible and NOT match to any of our scholarships.

6.       Parents DO NOT need to fill out any financial information in the Parents Section but they do need to grant consent  if the student is under 18 years of age.

7.       Our scholarships are NOT renewable.  You must apply each year and you must review and update your profile and upload the current year SAR and transcripts  to be eligible for scholarships in the current  year.

8.       We will contact you by Email so check your SPAM or JUNK mail. Our Email address for these communications : csfwestfield@dollarsforscholars.org
